MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Forward Jon Leuer has agreed to a three-year contract with the Grizzlies that will keep him in Memphis.
Leuer's agent, Mark Bartelstein, confirmed Wednesday that Leuer had agreed to the new deal. The contract was first reported by The Commercial Appeal, which reported the three-year deal was worth $3 million.
Signings can't become official until July 10 under NBA rules.
The 24-year-old Leuer played 28 games for the Grizzlies and Cleveland Cavaliers this past season. The 6-foot-10 forward from Wisconsin averaged 2.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 6.7 minutes per game.
The Grizzlies acquired Leuer from the Cavaliers in a January trade that sent forward Marreese Speights, guards Wayne Ellington and Josh Selby plus a future first-round draft pick to Cleveland.
