Chart: The Wolves' priorities in free agency

  • Updated: June 29, 2013 - 8:22 PM

NBA Free Agency

The league’s negotiating period begins at 11:01 p.m. Sunday. There is a moratorium period that allows teams to reach contract agreement with free-agent players, but no player officially can be signed until next season’s salary cap is set on July 10.

Here’s new Timberwolves basketball boss Flip Saunders to-do list:

1. Re-sign restricted free-agent center Nikola Pekovic.

2. Re-sign unrestricted free-agent forward Chase Budinger, a Rick Adelman favorite.

3. Spend perhaps $7 million annually or more to sign a starting shooting guard.
