Chart: NBA draft lottery info

  • Updated: May 18, 2013 - 9:48 PM

When: 7 p.m. Tuesday • TV: ESPN

What: The NBA’s annual game of chance that determines the draft’s top three picks from the 14 teams that missed the playoffs.

Where: Disney-ABC Times Square Studios, New York

Representing: The Wolves will send two-time All-Star Kevin Love, who broke his right hand not once but twice last season, to the lottery for good luck. They have a 1.7 percent chance of getting the No. 1 overall pick and are slotted to pick ninth, unless the lottery changes that. Chicago beat those same odds in 2008 when they landed top pick Derrick Rose, but the Wolves never have beaten their odds in all the years they’ve been in the lottery.

Wolves’ needs: A legitimately sized shooting guard and backup center.

The favorite: Orlando has the best chance — 25 percent — at getting the top pick.

No. 1 overall pick? There’s no clear-cut top pick this season, but according to a team’s needs, the options include Kentucky freshman center Nerlens Noel, Kansas freshman shooting guard Ben McLemore, Georgetown sophomore small forward Otto Porter, Michigan sophomore point guard Trey Burke and UNLV freshman power forward Anthony Bennett.
