wolves gameday

9:30 p.m. at L.A. Clippers * Staples Center * FSN Plus, 830-AM

Preview: The Clippers’ 109-95 victory over the Lakers on Sunday clinched their first Pacific Division and gave them their first series sweep (4-0) over their hometown rivals since Donald Sterling bought the team in 1981. The franchise’s only other sweep over the Lakers was during the 1974-75 season, when they were the Buffalo Braves. … Speaking of sweeps: The Clippers (51-27) have beaten the Wolves three times this season and are going for their first series sweep over them since 1993. They won 101-95 at Staples Center in November and won 90-77 and 96-90 in January games at Target Center.

Players to watch: Clippers All Star G Chris Paul’s 12-assist, 0-turnover game against Phoenix last week was the fourth time this season he has recorded at least 12 assists in a game without a single turnover. No other player has done it more than twice, and only two players have done that: Detroit’s Jose Calderon and Denver’s Ty Lawson. … Clippers C DeAndre Jordan has grabbed double-digit rebounds in five of his past eight games, including 13 in Sunday’s victory over the Lakers. The Clips are 16-5 when he grabs at least 10 rebounds. … Sixth Man of the Year candidate Jamal Crawford is third in the league in fourth-quarter scoring and the other two ahead of him are Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant and Lakers’ star Kobe Bryant.

Injuries: Wolves F Kevin Love (hand/knee surgeries), G Brandon Roy (knees) and G Malcolm Lee (knee and hip surgeries) are out for the season. Clippers G Chauncey Billups (groin strain) is doubtful.
