7 P.M. VS. Boston • Target Center • Ch. 29, 830-AM

Preview: The Timberwolves have split their past six games, and their offense was flourishing until the second half of Saturday’s game against Memphis. Now they get a chance at breaking another streak. The Celtics have won 11 straight games vs. the Wolves dating to a two-point victory in February 2007. The Celtics saw a two-game winning streak end with a 108-89 loss at New York on Sunday night. The Celtics are in the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference despite having lost G Rajon Rondo for the season to knee surgery.

Players to watch: Wolves G Ricky Rubio has scored 12 or more points in seven consecutive games. His 23 points Saturday were a career high, and he came one assist away from his second career triple-double. F Derrick Williams has averaged 14.8 points in his past five games, hitting on seven of 16 three-pointers in that time. Celtics F Paul Pierce finished March averaging 19.9 points. F Jeff Green had averaged 22.3 points in the three games leading into Sunday, when he scored 27 points on 10-for-14 shooting against the Knicks.

Numbers: The Celtics are 22nd in the NBA in scoring defense (96.1) and have allowed opponents to score 100 or more points in five of six games. The Wolves have averaged 103.8 points over the past six games.

Injuries: Wolves F Kevin Love (hand surgery), G Malcolm Lee (hip and knee surgery) and G Brandon Roy (right knee) are out. C Nikola Pekovic (left ankle) is questionable. Boston G Rajon Rondo (torn right ACL) and F Jared Sullinger (back surgery) are out. F/C Kevin Garnett (left ankle inflammation) is doubtful.
