Which way will the Wolves go?

Some of the choices they'll have with their No. 3 pick on June 26 ...

Last update: May 20, 2008 - 11:59 PM

THE BIG MAN

Brook Lopez • 7-0 center • Stanford, sophomore • He has the smarts, a long-armed big body and some go-to offensive moves that would fill the Wolves' biggest need. But his rebounding is suspect.

Ø THE SCORER

Jerryd Bayless • 6-3 guard • Arizona, freshman • He is a big-league athlete and shooter who's a scorer in a point guard's body. Some scouts consider the guard a "tweener," much like Wolves guard Randy Foye.

Ø THE HEADLINER

O.J. Mayo • 6-5 shooting guard USC, freshman • Kevin McHale said a forthcoming NCAA investigation won't affect his opinion: "If you said every person who ever took money in college wouldn't be drafted, it'd be slim pickings."

THE ITALIAN Ø

Danilo Gallinari 6-9 small forward • Italy • A versatile "point-forward" type, Gallinari is a great passer and has distinguished himself against Europe's best pros despite being only 19. His father was an Italian star player.
