Preview: This is a game between teams outside the Western Conference playoff picture. The Lakers' three-game winning streak ended in Phoenix on Wednesday. They have won 19 consecutive games against the Wolves.

Players to watch: Wolves F Andrei Kirilenko is shooting only 10-for-25 the past three games. C Nikola Pekovic had 17 points and 12 rebounds in his return from injury Wednesday. Lakers G Kobe Bryant is averaging 12 assists over the past four games. F/C Pau Gasol has shot 41-for-74 in his past eight games. C Dwight Howard has scored in double figures only twice in his past seven.

Numbers: The Lakers were outscored 27-8 over the final 10 minutes of their game at Phoenix on Wednesday. At Target Center, meanwhile, the Wolves were outscored 9-2 in the final three minutes against the Clippers. ... The Wolves went 3-12 in January, the Lakers 5-11.

Injuries: Wolves F Kevin Love (hand surgery), G Malcolm Lee (hip and knee surgery), F Chase Budinger (knee surgery) and G Brandon Roy (right knee) are out. Lakers F/C Jordan Hill (hip surgery) is out; G Steve Blake (abdomen) is probable; Howard (right shoulder) is questionable.
