Preview: Wolves at Golden State

  • Updated: November 23, 2012 - 11:42 PM

Preview: The 7-6 Warriors have won four of their past six games after Friday's loss at Denver. Included was last Friday's 106-98 victory at Target Center in which the Wolves were missing Kevin Love, Nikola Pekovic and J.J. Barea. All three of those players returned from injury in Wednesday's 101-94 home loss to Denver. ... Golden State has won nine of the past 11 meetings between the teams and has won the past three. The Wolves' last victory against the Warriors was 97-93 in Oakland last March 19.

Players to watch: Like the Wolves, the Warriors have yet to see all they can be because C Andrew Bogut remains sidelined to start the season. But G Steph Curry is back from an ankle injury that sidelined him much of last season and is averaging 19.3 points and 5.7 assists and F David Lee is back to being a double-double machine. He had five consecutive double-doubles entering Friday's game Denver. ...Warriors F Harrison Barnes quickly is establishing himself a candidate for Rookie of the Year. He became the youngest Warrior to start a season opener since No. 1 overall pick Joe Smith did so in 1995 and is averaged 15.6 points (on 50 percent shooting) and eight rebounds heading into Friday.

Injuries: Wolves G Ricky Rubio (knee surgery) and F Chase Budinger (knee surgery) are both out. Bogut (ankle rehab), F Richard Jefferson (strained calf) and F/G Brandon Rush (torn ACL) all were listed as out for the Warriors for Friday's game at Denver.
