Jerry Zgoda missed the entire Kevin Garnett era, but he's back covering the Timberwolves after working the beat for their first four seasons two decades ago. In between, he covered a bit of everything: Gopher men's and women's basketball and NCAA athletics, golf, outdoor recreation, sports media and a little Vikings and Twins.

Love, Kirilenko expected back for Tuesday's game vs. Maccabi Bazan Haifa

Everybody was back at practice on Monday.

That included Kevin Love, Andrei Kirilenko and, yes, Malcolm Lee.

Love was back after missing Saturday's game because he had slept on his right elbow wrong the night before.

His own self-diagnosis on Saturday night wasn't quite right -- he predicted it'd be just a 24-hour thing -- because it bothered him enough on Sunday that he couldn't have practiced had the Wolves not been given the day.

He said it still wasn't 100 percent on Monday, but he practiced anyway.

So, too, did Kirilenko, who missed games Friday and Saturday because of a sore hamstring that he said isn't serious, and he called the two games missed simply precautionary.

Kirilenko said it's "just a little stretch."

"I mean, I don't know why it's such a big deal," he said.

Luke Ridnour also said his back is feeling better and expects to start his second consecutive game after missing the first two preseason games.

Lee, meanwhile, returned to practice for the first time since injuring groin muscles back in training camp in Mankato.

He said he felt good enough after that one practice to play Tuesday against Israeli team Maccabi Bazan Haifa, but Adelman said that's unlikely.

"I think everybody is ready to go tomorrow," Adelman said. "I don't want to say that too loud."

The Wolves have four preseason games left, including ones against the Bulls, Pistons and Bucks in which he hopes to really put together the lineup combinations he hasn't had a chance to soldify yet because of injuries and circumstance.

So just who is this team they're playing Tuesday?

Well, here's a little background on Bazan Haifa coach Brad Greenberg, who goes way, way back with Adelman, all the way to their days in Portland together.
