Wolves gameday

Last update: April 3, 2008 - 8:12 PM

Preview: The Suns reached 50 victories for the fourth consecutive season Monday. They trailed Denver at home by 22 in the second quarter that night, scored 81 points in the second half and won 132-117. They lost at Denver the next night ... Only Miami and Seattle have won fewer games than the Wolves and yet they have beaten the mighty Suns two of three times. Both came at Target Center: 117-107 on Jan. 23 and 100-93 on Dec. 8. The Suns have not lost a season series to the Wolves since 2004.

Player to watch: Nobody has benefited more from the acquisition of Shaquille O'Neal than Amare Stoudemire, who has moved back to power forward and has averaged 29.3 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in the 27 games since the trade with Miami was made.

Injuries: Wolves guard Sebastian Telfair has missed 13 games because of a sprained ankle and still is not healthy enough to practice fully. Suns forward Grant Hill (strained groin muscles) is probable.
