Wolves gameday

Last update: April 1, 2008 - 11:18 PM

Preview: This is the fourth and final season series meeting in the past five weeks, and the second in four days. The Wolves have won both games at Target Center and got clobbered 105-76 in their only visit to Salt Lake City on March 5 ... Six Wolves reached double figures in scoring in Sunday's 110-103 home victory over the Jazz, which was missing starters Andrei Kirilenko and Mehmet Okur. ... The Jazz has won four consecutive home games after the Lakers ended its franchise record-tying home winning streak at 19 games on March 20. Utah's 33-4 home record is the league's best.

Player to watch: Utah point guard Deron Williams' 212 assists in March were the most in a month by any NBA player since Jazz guard John Stockton had 215 in January 1992. Williams' 10.5 assists a game average is third in the NBA and he is fourth (and the only guard) in double-double games with 48. He averaged 19.6 points and 13.3 assists in March.

Injuries: Wolves guard Sebastian Telfair (sprained ankle) participated some in Tuesday's morning shootaround but still doesn't appear ready to resume contact practice. Kirilenko is listed as questionable because of muscles spasms in his right calf, and Jazz guard Ronnie Brewer (strained groin) is called a game-time decision.
