Preview: The Jazz has won three consecutive games over the Los Angeles Clippers, Charlotte and Seattle at home as well as four of its past five, six of its past eight. Utah is the league's best home team at 32-4 but is beatable on the road with a 16-21 mark that includes a 111-100 loss at Target Center last month. ... The Jazz has beaten every team in the league this season. ...The two teams complete their season series Wednesday in Utah; they play all four games in a five-week span starting Feb. 26. ... Jazz assistant coach Tyrone Corbin was an original member of the Timberwolves and started the franchise's first game, in Seattle in November 1989.
Players to watch: They won't defend each other much, but watch the battle of the big men: Al Jefferson and Carlos Boozer, two of only four NBA players who average 20 points and 10 rebounds a game. Jefferson is second only to Orlando's Dwight Howard in double-double games with 50, and Boozer is third with 49. Boozer averages 20.8 points and 10.8 rebounds, Jefferson averages 21 points and 11.5 rebounds.
Injuries: Wolves guard Sebastian Telfair has missed 10 games because of a sprained ankle that still limits him to running and shooting on his own. Wolves coach Randy Wittman said he is another week or two from playing again. There are only 18 days left in their season.
