The Timberwolves' pursuit of free-agent Brandon Roy is serious enough that owner Glen Taylor, president of basketball operations David Kahn, coach Rick Adelman and athletic trainer Gregg Farnam met with Roy in Seattle on Friday, a league source said.

Roy -- a two-time All-Star -- retired last December because he had little or no cartilage left in either knee. Since then, he has undergone the same platelet-rich plasma therapy treatment that helped Kobe Bryant's knee.

Roy has narrowed his suitors to Dallas, Chicago, Indiana, Golden State and the Wolves and will meet with each team before making his decision, Yahoo!Sports reported Saturday. Roy knows Wolves assistant coach and former Blazers assistant Bill Bayno well and is intrigued by the prospect of playing with Love and Rubio, it said.
