Preview: The Wolves will try to rediscover the momentum they were building the last time they played the Nets. That was Jan. 27, when the Wolves rallied from seven down in the final 1:19 to win 98-95. It was one of five victories in a seven-game stretch. More recently, the team has lost three in a row. The Nets have won two in a row, including a 101-82 victory at home vs. Dallas on Sunday.
Players to watch: The Jeffersons. New Jersey's Richard Jefferson is averaging 23.4 points and 4.3 rebounds. He had 35 vs. the Wolves. And then there is Al Jefferson, who had 40 and 19 vs. the Nets in that come-from-behind victory.
Numbers: Minnesota has been getting off to slow starts, averaging 18 first-quarter points in its past seven games. Wolves point guard Sebastian Telfair is shooting only 24.1 percent (7-for-29) in his past four games, but he also has 30 assists and only two turnovers in those games.
Injuries: For the Wild, G Rashad McCants (ankle) did not practice and is very doubtful for tonight's game. C Theo Ratliff (knee) continues to improve in full-contact practice, but coach Randy Wittman said he would not play this week. The Nets report no injuries.
