• DETROIT 90, L.A. LAKERS 89: Tayshaun Prince's three-pointer with 4.4 seconds left lifted the Pistons over the Lakers on Thursday night in Auburn Hills, Mich. Lakers guard Kobe Bryant had 39 points, but didn't get a shot on the final possession. Bryant had an unusual triple-double, adding a career-high 11 turnovers and 10 rebounds to his scoring total. "I have to make smarter decisions with the basketball," he said.

Kevin Garnett did not play, still nursing an abdominal injury.
• SEATTLE 101, CLEVELAND 95: Chris Wilcox scored Seattle's first 10 points and Kevin Durant had 12 of his 24 in the first quarter as the SuperSonics held off a late surge by the visiting Cavaliers, who played without LeBron James (sprained ankle). Larry Hughes led Cleveland with 28 points.

Toronto's Chris Bosh and Atlanta guard Joe Johnson were the other reserves picked for the East. Nowitzki, Utah's Carlos Boozer and Portland guard Brandon Roy were selected from the West.
