Preview: Tonight's game is the second meeting in five days between the teams, and the third in the past six weeks. The Wolves won 100-93 at Target Center on Dec. 8 and lost 115-95 on Friday at Phoenix. The Suns erased a five-point deficit with a 35-17 second quarter that included a 13-0 run and won with ease on Friday. ... The Suns finish back-to-back games tonight after coming from behind in the fourth quarter for a 114-105 victory at Milwaukee on Tuesday. They have won four in a row and are 10-4 since losing to the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas Day. ... The Suns went 5-2 without forward Grant Hill, who was sidelined after an appendectomy but returned to the starting lineup against the Bucks, scoring eight points in 27 minutes.
Player to watch: Amare Stoudemire led the Suns over the Wolves on Friday with 23 points and 11 rebounds and averaged 25.6 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.4 blocks in the 10 games before Tuesday. The Suns are 17-1 this season when he records a double-double in points and rebounds.
Numbers: The Suns were first in the NBA in points, field-goal percentage and assists and second in blocked shots entering Tuesday's game.
Injuries: Wolves guard Randy Foye (kneecap stress reaction) on Tuesday participated in his first scrimmage since October but probably still is more than a week away from playing in a game. Center Theo Ratliff (knee surgery) remains out indefinitely.
