GAME RECAP

MVP

Derrick Williams, Wolves

J.J. Barea is more than worthy, but the rookie neutralized Utah's Paul Millsap while playing the entire fourth quarter and provided five consecutive, crucial points in the final minute.

BY THE NUMBERS

15 Years since the Wolves overcame a deficit as big and as late as the 16-pointer they erased in the final 10 minutes. They won at Dallas in double OT on Feb. 27, 1997, after trailing by 17 with 9:24 left in the fourth quarter.

17 Wolves victories, matching last season's total. They haven't been .500 at the All Star break since they were 27-27 in 2004-05. They were 9-25 after 34 games last season.

11-1 The Wolves' advantage in three-pointers made.
