Preview: The Timberwolves, having ended a four-game losing streak with a 102-90 victory over Charlotte on Wednesday, face Houston for the final time this season with a chance to win the season series. All four meetings between the two teams are coming in a 26-day period. The Wolves lost the first game but won the past two, including a 100-91 victory at home Feb. 4. Houston is coming off Wednesday's 96-95 home victory over Oklahoma City, led by Kevin Martin's 32 points.
Players to watch: Love has averaged 31 points and 12 rebounds vs. Houston this season. C Nikola Pekovic has averaged 17.1 points and 10.6 rebounds in nine February games. PG Ricky Rubio leads the NBA in steals (2.43 a game) and is fifth in assists (8.6). For the Rockets, G Martin is averaging 23.6 points per game at home. G Kyle Lowry has averaged 17 points and 5.7 assists vs. the Wolves this season and had a triple-double (16 points, 10 assists, 10 rebounds) at Target Center Jan. 23.
Numbers: The Wolves are 10-2 when shooting as well or better than their opponent. ... The Wolves needed 30 games to reach 14 wins this season. It took them 60 games last season.
Injuries: Wolves rookie G Malcolm Lee (knee surgery) has completed a rehab stint in the D-League but has yet to make his NBA debut. The Rockets report no injuries.
