WEEK IN REVIEW

Record: 1-1 (entering Friday's home game against San Antonio and Saturday's game at Memphis). • The Wolves won on the road for the first time this season Monday 103-94 at New Orleans, holding off the Hornets down the stretch after leading by 23 points in the first half. They trailed by 20 at Dallas on Wednesday, pulled within three in the fourth quarter and lost 109-103.

STAR TRIBUNE'S STAR OF THE WEEK

Marko Jaric, guard: The man who sought for two seasons to find his way in Minnesota has become the starting point guard and iron man. He played 40 minutes Wednesday at Dallas and delivered a 21-point, six-assist game in Monday's victory at New Orleans.

THIS WEEK THREE GAMES

Tuesday: vs. L.A. Lakers, 7 p.m. Thursday: at Atlanta, 6 p.m. Saturday: vs. Phoenix, 7 p.m. • Kobe Bryant starts the week by making his first of two visits (Feb. 13 is the other) to Target Center this season and Steve Nash, Amare Stoudemire and the Pacific Division-leading Suns finish it. QUOTE
