Preview: The Timberwolves, having let yet another winnable game slip away in Monday's overtime loss in Phoenix, will try to end their season by ending their 14-game losing streak. A 15-game slide would tie for the second-longest in the past two seasons. The Rockets will finish with a winning record, but for the second year in a row they will finish one spot out of the playoffs.
Players to watch: Wolves F Michael Beasley is coming off a 26-point night vs. the Suns. He has scored 20 or more points in four of his past five games. F Anthony Tolliver had 22 points vs. Phoenix, a season high. Rockets SG Kevin Martin continues to post big numbers. He had 28 points Monday against Dallas and has scored 30 or more in three of his past six games. C Brad Miller, recently back from injury, has 28 points and 13 rebounds over his last two games.
Numbers: Houston has won its past six games at Target Center and is 24-21 all-time in Minnesota. The Rockets' 120-94 victory over the Wolves Nov. 7 was their largest margin of victory this season.
Injuries: Wolves F Kevin Love (groin strain) and C Darko Milicic (ankle) are doubtful. Rockets PG Kyle Lowry (left foot) and F/C Luis Scola (left knee) are doubtful.
