Preview: The Mavericks saw an eight-game winning streak end Sunday with a last-second loss to Memphis, but they have won 18 of their past 20 games. Dallas has had winning streaks of four, 12, five, 10 and eight games, as well as a six-game losing streak. The Wolves have lost two in a row after winning two of three. Saturday's loss at hapless Washington was particularly troubling because the Wizards were down two starters. Today's game marks the return of Corey Brewer, who was traded to New York before the All-Star break. The Knicks released him, and he signed a three-year deal with Dallas.

Players to watch: Wolves F Kevin Love has three consecutive games with 20 or more points and 20 or more rebounds. F Michael Beasley has been in double figures in three of four games, but has shot better than 40 percent only once in the past seven games. PG Luke Ridnour has gone four games without making a three-point shot. SG Wayne Ellington is coming off a 15-point, five-rebound, four-assist game.

Numbers: Dallas is second in the NBA in shooting percentage (47.6) and seventh in three-point shooting (37.2). The Wolves are eighth in three-point shooting (37.0) and first in rebounding (45.25). Dallas has won 16 of the past 17 meetings between the teams, including 10 of the past 11 at Target Center.

Injuries: Wolves SG Wes Johnson (stomach illness) should return after missing two games; SG Martell Webster (back) should return after missing seven games. Dallas listed F Caron Butler (ruptured right patellar tendon), C Tyson Chandler (sprained right ankle) and G Dominique Jones (foot stress fracture) as out for Sunday's game with Memphis.
