Seeing that the Timberwolves are willing to pick up the phone and listen, it should come as no surprise that NBA teams are giving them a call about Kevin Garnett.

Danny Ainge, the Celtics director of basketball operations, told the Boston Herald he had talked to the Wolves about a potential trade for Garnett that presumably would include Boston's draft pick at No. 5.

But: "A lot of people attempt to make trades for that pick that are one-sided," Ainge told the Herald. "So there is nothing going on for the pick yet."

There is considerable speculation regarding Garnett, however, including anonymously sourced reports that have the Wolves assessing Garnett's potential value.

Wolves owner Glen Taylor said Monday he was willing to listen to offers but hadn't heard any serious ones yet. The plan, Taylor said, is to keep Garnett.
