Michael Doleac

The experience amid the kids.

Last update: November 1, 2007 - 6:18 PM

On a team filled with youth, 30-year-old Michael Doleac is a perfect fit. He's a veteran who knows what it's like to win an NBA championship, who is willing to help anyone who asks. He's a capable backup center who won't demand minutes. Doleac is entering his 10th season with his sixth team. "I'm coming in with no expectations," he said. "No opinions on what should happen. I'm just going to work as hard as I can and help this team win." Doleac can defend in the post and hit a midrange jumper. Oh, and he's one guy who isn't going to come to Minnesota and complain about the weather. Indeed, he and his wife, Shannon -- who is expecting their first child -- are thrilled to be in the Midwest. "She's from rural New Hampshire," Doleac said. "My dad was in the Army, so I've been all over the place. I was in Alaska for three years, so the cold's not going to bother me here."
