Second thoughts

Last update: June 27, 2007 - 9:41 PM

In 1989, when the Timberwolves conducted their first NBA draft, they wound up with Doug West with the second of their two second-round picks. Nice job. Since then? Lots of misses until last season, when Craig Smith was taken with the 36th overall pick. Here's a look at some players who might still be available to the Wolves in the second round:

Player Pos. Last team Ht./Wt.

Marc Gasol C Spain 7-0/265

Alando Tucker SF Wisconsin 6-5/205 Ø

Taurean Green PG Florida 6-1/173

Stanko Barac C Bosnia 7-1/220

Aaron Brooks G Oregon 6-0/161
