GAME RECAP

MVP

Kevin Garnett, Wolves

He tied a season high with 32 points, added nine rebounds and came up with some big baskets as the Wolves pulled away after Los Angeles briefly took a fourth-quarter lead.

THE STATS

17 Points for Mike James, who also had seven rebounds and played much of the final quarter.

26 Turnovers for the Clippers, a season high.

BACK IN UNIFORM

Rashad McCants, in uniform for the first time this season, might be ready to play in the next couple of weeks. But for now, when Justin Reed returns from his family illness in Mississippi, McCants likely will yield the spot. No problem, said McCants. "It means a lot to me to be in uniform and not behind the bench," he said. "Witt [coach Randy Wittman] understands where I'm at emotionally."
