Wolves gameday

Last update: December 22, 2006 - 8:47 PM

Preview: The Wolves have lost seven of the past nine meetings in this series and are 2-14 overall in Indianapolis. Last season, the teams split two games, each winning on its home court and neither side scoring more than 90 points.

Player to watch: Wolves forward Eddie Griffin was a go-to guy against the Pacers last season, totaling 35 points and 26 rebounds in the two games. This season, Griffin hasn't scored a point in five weeks, dating to the Wolves' visit to Cleveland.

Numbers: Minnesota is 2-2 on the road against Eastern Conference foes and 2-4 on the tail end of back-to-back games this season. ... Indiana leads the NBA with an average of 6.19 blocked shots, and Jermaine O'Neal (3.00) gets almost half of them.

Injuries: Pacers center David Harrison (sprained left shoulder) came back too soon and likely will be out the next two weeks.
