Greetings. Youngblood here. I was at the Wild's practice today over at St. Thomas Academy. Here is what I gleaned from the experience:

--This would appear to be a fairly frustrated bunch, coming home after losing four games on the road. Center John Madden -- who has never missed the playoffs in any of his previous 10 full seasons -- said he's the most frustrated he's been in his career. I'll write more about that later. Wild coach Todd Richards left the arena without talking to this humble reporter, so you won't see any of his comments until after tomorrow's game.

--Martin Havlat was given the day off from practice. Assistant coach Dave Barr said there wouldn't be any lineup changes from the San Jose game, which means Cam Barker, Guillaume Latendresse and Marek Zidlicky will all miss the game against the Blue Jackets.

--It was an up-tempo, but relatively short, workout for the Wild today before they play a very rare home back-to-back against Columbus and Montreal.

--Meanwhile, Michael Russo sent this along about the team's 2010 first-round pick, Mikael Granlund, who may have sustained another concussion in a Finnish League playoff game Friday. The HIFK star, who missed much of the first half of the season with a concussion, was cross-checked in the face, then into the crossbar, by Jokerit captain and former NHLer Ossi Vaananen. Granlund left the game, tried to return and then finally had to leave the game for good. Wild officials say they have checked on Granlund and don't expect this to be a long-term injury. Granlund is listed as day-to-day.
