According to a source, Patrick O'Sullivan cleared waivers at 11 a.m. That means the Wild will assign him to the AHL Houston Aeros. I am trying to find out if he'll be in the lineup tonight at Chicago. Update: O'Sullivan will not play tonight but has agreed to report to Houston and will arrive there tomorrow.

Also, the Wild officially recalled Matt Hackett and Jared Spurgeon. Yes, the Wild's goalie tandem tonight has combined for three NHL games. Hopefully, it won't be like a preseason game, where Khudobin gets two periods and Hackett one.

That probably means things aren't going well.

Hackett played real well in his lone exhibition game when Josh Harding tore his ACL and MCL in the first period in St. Louis in September.

Cam Barker will be scratched tonight vs. the Avs. Spurgeon will get the nod. Coach Todd Richards said he's looking for more consistency and a right-shot defenseman tonight.

Richards didn't know if Jose Theodore will be ready for Sunday, but Niklas Backstrom skated before today's skate and Richards said there's a chance he's ready for Sunday.
