Just a reminder: I'll be hosting a live chat on startribune.com at 2 p.m. Come back just before then to find the link.

Wild prospect Jason Zucker, a University of Denver standout, left Tuesday night's USA-Slovakia world junior game with a head injury after being deliberately elbowed in the face by Slovakia's Martin Marincin midway through the third period of a 6-1 rout.

Zucker spent several moments crumpled on the ice. Clearly groggy, he eventually was helped off by trainer Stan Wong.

Marincin received a match penalty for attempt to injure, which carries at least a one-game suspension.

I know someone covering the game who's on the case in terms of getting me an update tonight. I'll let you know, but it's fairly clear what this injury is.

Update: No word tonight from USA Hockey on Zucker's status.
