Afternoon from snowy Calgary, where the Wild arrived 90 minutes ago or so.

The Wild spent the night in Denver and used today as a travel/recovery day.

I have been told that Chuck Kobasew is scheduled to rejoin the team here in Calgary at some point tonight, so we'll see if he returns to the lineup Monday against the Flames. Kobasew hasn't played since Nov. 2 with a groin injury. Kobasew flew from Denver to Vancouver yesterday to visit his mother, who has been ill.

The Wild will recall a player from AHL Houston this early evening. The release should be out after 6 p.m. CT. Remember, with the salary cap a daily avg., if you officially called the player up now, his daily cap rate would count against the Wild's cap today. You call him up later, his daily rate starts tomorrow.

With Kobasew coming and potentially being that extra forward, I'd think we'll see a defenseman. I will say this: Marek Zidlicky was iced up like a mummy after the game. He had ice on his lower body, his upper body, his mid body.

I'll update the blog later with the callup. Good evening.

And if you didn't see John Scott's fight last night in LA against Kevin Westgarth, here it is (children leave the room):

This was Scott's quote after the game: "I got long arms, kind of like monkey-armed baboon swinging away."
