Toews had been out because of a concussion since Vancouver's Willie Mitchell leveled him Oct. 21.
• Carolina signed veteran goalie Manny Legace to a one-year contract to help replace the injured Cam Ward.
• Calgary forward Curtis Glencross was suspended three games by the NHL because of a high hit he put on the New York Rangers' Chris Drury.
