Carolina goalie Cam Ward remained in a hospital in Columbus after his leg was cut by a skate during the first period Saturday against the Blue Jackets. Ward was helped off the ice by trainers, and drops of blood trailed him all the way to the dressing room.
New York Islanders defenseman Radek Martinek, 33, is out for the season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee Friday night against New Jersey.
