TRAVERSE CITY, MICH. -- Zack Torquato scored with three seconds left in regulation as the Wild prospects rallied from a three-goal deficit to force overtime, before falling to St. Louis 4-3 in a shootout at the NHL Prospects tournament.

The Wild (2-0-1) clinched the West Division and advanced to tonight's championship game against Carolina (2-1).

"We fought and fought and fought like tigers," said Wild assistant general manager Tom Thompson, who is traveling with the team.

The Blues led 3-0 early in the third period but Brandon Buck, Kristopher Foucault and Torquato responded with goals, the tying goal coming on Torquato's midair swipe at the puck after goalie Matthew Hackett was pulled.

St.Louis got goals from Philip McRae in the first period, Anthony Nigro in the second and Nigro again only 10 seconds into the third, with Aaron Palushaj getting an assist on all three goals. McRae and Palushaj scored in the shootout.
