During the July 12-17 development camp, the Wild will hold two scrimmages that are free and open to the public at Xcel Energy Center.
The first one will be Thursday, July 14, at 2:30 p.m. and the other will be Sunday, July 17, at 5 p.m. Each scrimmage will feature two, 30-minute running time halves. Gate 1 will open to the public 30 minutes prior to the start of each scrimmage.
Development camp is basically run by Director of Player Development Brad Bombardir.
The on-ice sessions will be led by Wild assistant coaches John Anderson, Darby Hendrickson and Scott Stevens, Iowa Wild head coach Derek Lalonde, associate coach David Cunniff and assistant coach Pascal Rheaume, along with Bombardir, player development coach Richard Park, skating skills coach Andy Ness and goaltender development coach Frederic Chabot. In addition, players will participate in daily strength and conditioning sessions, as well as other off-ice topics, including cooking, finance and nutrition education.

A total of 44 players are scheduled to attend the Wild's 2016 Development Camp, including 20 selected by Minnesota in the NHL Entry Draft. Players scheduled to attend include: Sam Anas, Louie Belpedio, Joel Eriksson Ek, Jordan Greenway, Luke Kunin, Mario Lucia, Nick Seeler, Alex Tuch and Adam Vay.
Prospect Kirill Kaprizov isn't coming because he has training camp in the KHL.
Dmitry Sokolov, the seventh-round steal the Wild hopes it drafted last month, is coming, but GM Chuck Fletcher said he's rehabbing a shoulder injury and will be put on an extensive off-ice conditioning program so he can begin committing to training.
