Minnesota Wild left wing Zach Parise (11) lifted the puck over the pads of Chicago Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford (50) before being checked by defenseman Brent Seabrook (7) in the second period of their game Tuesday night at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. ] JEFF WHEELER • jeff.wheeler@startribune.com The Minnesota Wild faced the Chicago Blackhawks in game 6 of their playoff series Monday night, May 13, 2014 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Game 6 recap

Star Tribune’s three stars

1. Corey Crawford, Blackhawks: If not for the Blackhawks goaltender, the Wild would have won the game in regulation. Crawford recorded 34 saves, many of them outstanding.

2. Patrick Kane, Blackhawks: The Chicago winger notched his sixth goal of the playoffs, and game-winner, midway through overtime.

3. Mikael Granlund, Wild: Granlund had four shots, two hits, one steal, two blocked shots and seven faceoff wins.

Turning point

It took a break in overtime, and the Blackhawks got it. Brent Seabrook’s dump-in took a reverse bounce off a stanchion and, with Wild players looking for it to come out the other way, Kane got to it first and scored.
