Star Tribune’s three stars

1. Brandon Saad, Chicago: The second-year NHLer scored two goals, including the winner with 56 seconds remaining in the second period.

2. Bryan Bickell, Chicago: Bickell continued his postseason dominance over the Wild with a three points (goal and two assists, including the primary assist on Saad’s winner).

3. Cody McCormick, Wild: The fourth-liner put some pressure on the Blackhawks early in the third period when he scored his second career playoff goal.

Turning point

Only seconds after Chicago killed off a questionable penalty to Wild forward Justin Fontaine, Saad fired a wrister from the slot that deflected off the stick of Wild winger Zach Parise and into the net with less than a minute left in the second period.
