Gameday preview: Boston at Wild

Preview: The Wild, 10-2-1 all-time vs. Boston, returns to St. Paul to close the regular season with three consecutive home games. Its last home game, a 4-0 victory over Pittsburgh on Saturday, was Minnesota’s second win in the past seven home games (2-2-3). The Bruins, locked into the top spot in the Eastern Conference and striving for the President’s Trophy, are 2-4 all-time in Minnesota. The Bruins are 16-1-2 in their past 19 games, including a 4-1 home win over the Wild on March 17. Since Jan. 11, they are 13-1-4 on the road.

Players to watch: G Ilya Bryzgalov will start in back-to-back games on consecutive days for the first time with the Wild. LW Matt Moulson has eight goals and 16 points in 19 career games against Boston. LW Zach Parise has 17 points in 26 games against Boston. Bruins C David Krejci ranks 25th in the NHL with 66 points and leads the league with a plus-39. C Patrice Bergeron has 60 points and is plus-38. Zdeno Chara ranks fourth among defensemen with 17 goals and Torey Krug is tied for fifth with 14.

Numbers: The Bruins lead the East with 3.18 goals per game and 2.09 goals against per game. They have the third-best power play in the NHL (20.8 percent). … The Wild is 5-5-2 in the second half of back-to-backs. … Parise is tied for 17th in the NHL with 16 goals at home.

Injuries: Wild C Mikael Granlund (head), G Darcy Kuemper (upper body), D Keith Ballard (groin), D Clayton Stoner (knee), G Josh Harding (MS), G Niklas Backstrom (abdominal surgery) and LW Jason Zucker (quadriceps) are out. Bruins RW Jarome Iginla (lower body) and D Kevan Miller (undisclosed) are day-to-day. D Dennis Seidenberg (knee) and D Adam McQuaid (quad) are out.
