The Wild and Avs face off at 8 p.m. CT tonight at the Pepsi Center. I'll be on Fox Sports North during the pregame show at 7:30 p.m. and during the first intermission.

Justin Fontaine will indeed be the odd man out tonight when the Wild visits the Avalanche. The Wild is looking to snap a five-game road winless skid, a streak in which the road opposition has scored the first goal eight times and a five-game road streak of 2-0 deficits.

That includes the Nov. 30 game here in Denver when the Wild rallied back from 2-0 down to force overtime before losing in a shootout.

As reported in today's article here, Charlie Coyle will move back to first-line right wing next to Zach Parise and Mikko Koivu and Jason Pominville will move to second-line right wing next to Nino Niederreiter and freshly-recalled Erik Haula.

Brett Bulmer, whom coach Mike Yeo liked against San Jose, will stay on the third line with Matt Cooke and Kyle Brodziak, while Dany Heatley will stay on the fourth line with Zenon Konopka and Torrey Mitchell.

Josh Harding in the cage. Mike Rupp and Nate Prosser scratched again.

Semyon Varlamov starts for Colorado. Jan Hejda returns for Colorado, Ryan Wilson will not.
