ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Wild will start their season at home against Los Angeles on a Thursday night, Oct. 3.
The NHL released the 2013-14 schedule Friday with the new four-division alignment. For the first time in Wild history, every other team in the league will visit Xcel Energy Center. They'll face Central Division opponents 29 times, with at least four games against each of the other six members.
The Wild will also play three games against each team in the Pacific Division for a total of 50 games against the Western Conference. Then they'll play each Eastern Conference team once at home and once on the road.
The schedule includes a break for the Olympics from Feb. 7-26. The Wild host Nashville on Apr. 13 to conclude the regular season.
