A night after causing their fan base to stay up late, the Wild gave viewers a reason to tune out early Tuesday.
Minnesota's 5-1 loss at Colorado in Game 4 of its first-round playoff series had a 7.8 preliminary rating (133,123 households) and 15 share on FSN North. That was a significant drop from the 11.2 rating and 22 share the Wild had for its 3-2 overtime victory Monday on KSTC (Ch. 45).
Both games started at 9 p.m., but the difference was that Tuesday's contest was essentially over after the first period when the Avalanche led 3-0. It was 5-0 after two periods as Colorado tied the series at two games apiece.
FSN North began the night by airing the Twins' 6-5 loss at Detroit; that game had a very respectable 6.1 rating and 11 share. The Wolves' 115-103 loss to Detroit was carried by KSTC and had a 0.2 rating and 4 share.
The rating is the percentage watching a program among all television
households; share is the percentage tuned in among those homes with TVs in use at the time.

I made this championship belt for the push to the '09 Division Title. Gladden offered to buy it; I wanted a trade for one of his rings. He declined.
