Who to watch on the Avalanche

Last update: April 8, 2008 - 11:08 PM

CENTER PAUL STASTNY

In only his second season, Stastny does it all: He scores (24 goals in 66 games), passes (47 assists) and wins faceoffs (51.0 percent). He also plays two ways, leading the Avalanche with a plus-22.

LEFT WING WOJTEK WOLSKI

Another thorn in the Wild's side this season, he totaled seven points in seven games (three goals, four assists). Tied for the team lead this season with six game-winning goals.

RIGHT WING MILAN HEJDUK

Led the Avalanche with 201 shots and 29 goals. Since the start of the 1999-2000 season, he has scored 271 goals, the fifth-highest total in the league. Had four points in six games vs. the Wild this season.

DEFENSEMAN ADAM FOOTE

Late-season return to Colorado added size and strength to the Colorado blue line. Had 93 hits and blocked 148 shots this season. Also had only 18 give-aways, a very low number for a defenseman.

GOALIE JOSE THEODORE

Tied for 15th in goals-against average (2.44), tied for 16th with 28 victories and tied for 20th in save percentage (.910). But he enters the playoffs having won five of his past six starts.
