Last time: Lockout ran from March 11 to July 25, 2011. The new agreement was put in place in time for a modified free-agent signing period, shortened training camps and a full regular season.

Current situation: Signed labor agreement in 2011 for 10 years.

NBA

Four total stoppages -- all lockouts.

Last time: Lockout ran from July 1 to Dec. 8, 2011, and wiped out training camps and nine weeks of the regular season. Teams' schedules were reduced from 82 to 66 games.

Current situation: Signed labor agreement in 2011 for 10 years.
