In Foster's words

Last update: March 23, 2008 - 12:36 AM

Wild defenseman Kurtis Foster, who suffered a season-ending broken leg Wednesday, provided fans an update through the Wild's public relations department:

I want everyone to know that I am doing well. Though my left leg is in a lot of pain, I was able to get out of bed yesterday and again this morning. With the help of a walker I took a few steps today, putting all of the weight on my right leg. The therapist didn't think I would do that until tomorrow. That was good for me to hear. I am focused on regaining enough strength and confidence to travel home sometime soon. I want the guys to know I'm thinking about them and rooting for them. And I want everyone who has offered support to know how much I appreciate it.*
