Preview: In the featured national game on Hockey Day in America, the Wild, 9-1-1 all-time vs. Boston, is winless in seven games overall and 0-4-1 in its past five at home. It has won four games in 2012. The Bruins are 3-5 in their past eight and 7-8-1 in their past 16.

Players to watch: G Niklas Backstrom is expected to start for Minnesota. He is 3-0-1 with a 1.22 goals-against average and .955 save percentage in four games against the Bruins. C Erik Christensen has no points in seven games since being traded from the Rangers to the Wild. Bruins F Benoit Pouliot plays his second game against the team that drafted him fourth overall in 2005.

Injuries: Wild C Mikko Koivu (undisclosed) is questionable. D Mike Lundin (lower body), RW Carson McMillan (lower body), D Clayton Stoner (hip), LW/RW Pierre-Marc Bouchard (concussion) and LW Guillaume Latendresse (concussion) are out. Bruins C Marc Savard (postconcussion syndrome), C Nathan Horton (concussion) and C Rich Peverley (knee) are out.
