Game Day: Wild at Edmonton

Preview: A young Oilers team beat the Wild 5-2 at Xcel Energy Center on Friday, breaking a 17-game losing streak to the Wild in St. Paul. The Wild has won the past four in Edmonton, also.

Players to watch: For the Wild, W Cal Clutterbuck has seven goals, three short-handed, and has five goals in his past nine games. C Mikko Koivu leads the Wild with 19 points and is coming off a multi-point game vs. Tampa Bay. G Niklas Backstrom is 20-2-1 vs. Edmonton, including 2-0-0 with a 0.93 goals-against average and a .962 save percentage vs. the Oilers this season. Oilers C Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had two goals vs. the Wild on Friday and has 11 points in his past six games. RW Jordan Eberle also has 11 points in his past six games, including two assists vs. the Wild. G Nikolai Khabibulin is 5-12-4 vs. Wild.

Numbers: The Wild set a record for victories in November (10) on Monday. A victory in Edmonton would set the franchise record for wins in a month. The Wild's 15 victories in Edmonton are the most by the team in an opposing city. The Wild is 12-1 when not allowing a power-play goal.

Injuries: Wild W Guillaume Latendresse and D Marek Zidlicky, both dealing with concussions, and D Justin Falk (chest) are out. For Edmonton, D Taylor Fedun (broken leg), D Cam Barker (left ankle), LW Taylor Hall (left shoulder), D Andy Sutton (groin) and D Corey Potter (ankle) are out.
