Preview: Idle since Saturday, the Wild is coming off a 1-0-1 road trip but hasn't won in regulation since the season opener against Columbus on Oct. 8. It has beaten Anaheim five consecutive at home despite the Ducks scoring first in the past four. After winning four of their first five games, the Ducks have lost three in a row.
Players to watch: Wild RW Nick Johnson is coming off a strong game vs. Vancouver and has a goal and assist in his past two games. LW Dany Heatley has eight goals and 19 points in 19 games vs. the Ducks, and C Mikko Koivu has 18 points in 21 games. G Niklas Backstrom is 7-4 all-time vs. the Ducks with a 2.42 goals-against average and .919 save percentage. ... Linemates Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry have 23 points each vs. the Wild in 22 games, while Bobby Ryan has 13 points in 12 games.
Numbers: The Wild is 0-for-18 on power plays the past five games and 3-for-31 (9.7 percent, 28th in the NHL) overall; the Ducks are 25th (11.4 percent). ... The Ducks' penalty kill ranks sixth (90.6 percent); the Wild's penalty kill ranks 24th (76 percent). ... The Ducks are 30th in faceoff win percentage (44.9 percent), the Wild 25th (48.1 percent).
Injuries: Wild LW Guillaume Latendresse (groin) practiced Wednesday and is available, coach Mike Yeo said. D Greg Zanon (groin) and D Mike Lundin (back) are out. ... Ducks LW Jason Blake (wrist) and D Matt Smaby (thumb) are out.
