VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA - Left winger Guillaume Latendresse, three games into his comeback from missing 58 games with myriad abdominal issues, returned to Minnesota on Saturday to be examined by a Wild doctor.

Latendresse has been complaining about soreness, and coach Todd Richards said it's related to his previous surgeries.

If all goes well, Latendresse will rejoin the Wild in San Jose on Tuesday, General Manager Chuck Fletcher said.

The Wild will decide Sunday if it needs to recall another forward for Monday's game against Vancouver, but the Wild wouldn't need one if Mikko Koivu or Cal Clutterbuck can return from injury.

The Wild took Saturday off and will resume practice Sunday.
