In the hallway outside Calgary's dressing room is a huge picture of the Flames' 1989 Stanley Cup celebration. In the middle with a big smile -- and brown hair -- is Wild GM Doug Risebrough, a Flames assistant coach at the time.
"It's a cool thing, you know?" said Risebrough, who won four Stanley Cups as a player with Montreal. "I was here from the embryonic stages of that team being a nonplayoff team to ultimately a Stanley Cup champion. You get to see the patience that's required."
Risebrough was the Flames general manager from 1991 to '95.
He said, laughing, "I traded seven guys in that picture."
Sam Gagner, the youngest player in the NHL after turning 18 in August, 20-year-old Andrew Cogliano and 24-year-old Minneapolis native Tom Gilbert were told by the Oilers to move out of their Edmonton hotel last week.
Gagner and Cogliano have been the Oilers' two best forwards, combining for 14 points, while Gilbert, a defenseman, has two goals.
The three moved into captain Ethan Moreau's old house, which Moreau had on the market. "We were kind of joking around that he's not just giving us a room in his house, he's giving us a house," Cogliano said.
Said Gagner, the son of former North Stars center Dave Gagner: "That's one of the reasons he's captain. It's unbelievable that he would do that for us."

I made this championship belt for the push to the '09 Division Title. Gladden offered to buy it; I wanted a trade for one of his rings. He declined.
