- NFL's all-time leader in touchdown passes (464), completions (5,720), attempts (9,280), yards (65,127) and victories by a starting quarterback (169).
- Three-time NFL Most Valuable Player (1995, 1996, 1997) and ten-time Pro Bowl selection.
- Entered the season with 269 regular-season starts, second most in NFL history behind ex-Vikings defensive end Jim Marshall (270). Favre has started 291 consecutive in all, including playoffs.
- Favre and his wife, Deanna, have two daughters, Brittany (20) and Breleigh (10).
- Drafted by Atlanta in the second round (33rd overall) in 1991. Traded to the Packers in 1992 for a first-round choice.
- Played 16 seasons in Green Bay before he was traded to the Jets in 2008.
