THANKSGIVING DAY FOOTBALL

HOUSTON (9-1) AT DETROIT (4-6)

Time: 11:30 p.m., Ch. 4

Line: Texans by 3 1/2

The skinny: The two starting quarterbacks are coming off vastly different games. Matt Schaub of the Texans was the AFC offensive player of the week after completing 43 passes for 527 yards -- both tied for the second most in history -- and five TDS in an OT win over Jacksonville. Lions QB Matthew Stafford had one of his worst games in a loss to Green Bay, completing only 43.6 percent of his passes. He was intercepted twice and fumbled once. ... The Lions have an eight-game losing streak on Thanksgiving.

WASHINGTON (4-6) AT DALLAS (5-5)

Time: 3:15 p.m., Ch. 9

Line: Cowboys by 3 1/2

The skinny: Redskins QB Robert Griffin III needs 145 yards passing to break Norm Snead's team rookie record of 2,337 set in 1961. He also is only 94 yards shy of breaking Cam Newton's NFL rookie QB single-season rushing record of 706 set last year with Carolina. ... The Redskins have gone three consecutive games without a turnover, their longest streak since at least 1950. ... Dallas QB Tony Romo is 5-0 on Thanksgiving Day with 14 TDs and four interceptions. ... The Cowboys are playing their second of five home games in a six-week span.

NEW ENGLAND (7-3) AT NEW YORK JETS (4-6)

Time: 7:20 p.m., Ch. 11

Line: Patriots by 7

The skinny: Patriots coach Bill Belichick needs one victory to become the eighth NFL coach to reach 200. ... New England QB Tom Brady is 4-0 with 10 touchdown passes and one interception in his past four regular-season games against the Jets. ... QB Mark Sanchez broke out of a slump by completing 15 of 20 passes for 178 yards and one TD in a win over the Rams last week. It ended a three-game losing streak. Backup RB Bilal Powell, back from a concussion, ran for two TDs -- the first of his two-year career -- against St. Louis.
